Red Kitchen Trash Can Can Any One Help With Little Black/red Flying Bugs In My House.?

Can any one help with little black/red flying bugs in my house.? - red kitchen trash can

Near the sink, there is a large swarm of small black flying insects. I have no idea what they are. They sink in my bathroom too, and I see a few red instead of black, but only a couple. Try spraying with water, but not starting. I even tried spraying hair spray, but nothing.
The errors are to be in my room. I think I've found that they are good. Lately I've stolen something in my trash, and about five of them were.
Need help to identify and discard it. Please help.
I currently live in Ohio, and of course in the summer.
